Data scientist for SNSF research project 40 - 50 % (limited to two years)

Your role
As a data scientist, you will be part of a team carrying out an SNSF/Innosuisse Bridge Discovery research project (ti-tle: Quality indicators of polydisciplinary medical expert reports from the perspective of social security studies/law and empirical legal studies; project start). The project explores the quality of medical reports based on court data. The interdisciplinary project team comprises researchers from the ZHAW and the Center for Legal Data Science (CLDS) at the UZH. Your responsibilities include:
- maintaining and further developing an existing text annotation tool (Inception) using Python
- collaboration with the annotation team
- data cleaning, performing consistency and reliability checks
- contribution to the data analysis
- participation in the dissemination process and the open-access publication of the data
Your profile
- BSc in data science or BSc in computer science a related quantitative field. Candidates in their final years of study or pursuing a Master's degree are also encouraged to apply
- excellent knowledge of Python
- ability to work independently
- good knowledge of NLP (e.g., sentiment analysis, regular expressions)
ideally:
- good knowledge of statistics
- good knowledge of German
- familiarity with Inception
- familiarity with Github/Gitlab
