Networking and exchange – the most important goals of an alumni network – were once again embraced.

Around 25 exciting events took place in 2022, after two years of restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The alumni and alumnae learned about the world of energy, for example during a visit to the EWZ substation Sempersteig, spent action-packed hours in a laser tag arena in Zurich or visited the sculpture park designed by Swiss artist Bruno Weber in Dietikon. Some demonstrated their dexterity by folding origami. On 19 May, the annual general meeting took place on site again, at Haus Adeline Favre, the campus of the School of Health Sciences. The event also featured a guided tour of the newly built Swiss educational and research centre for occupational therapy, physiotherapy, midwifery and nursing, the largest of its kind. Since the 10 professional associations were merged in 2019, the ALUMNI ZHAW office has been located at the ZHAW. From 2023, the FH SCHWEIZ, the umbrella organisation for graduates of universities of applied sciences, will take over the management of the office as a service provider. Nevertheless, the close collaboration with the ZHAW will continue: ALUMNI ZHAW staff will keep their workplace at the ZHAW and thus remain in close contact with the ZHAW, the Schools and the students.
