ZHAW new in the Financial Times ranking of the best European business schools
The ZHAW School of Management and Law (SML) has been included in the Financial Times “European Business Schools” ranking for the first time. It is one of only five Swiss educational institutions on the list and the only Swiss university of applied sciences represented.
The ZHAW School of Management and Law has been included in the prestigious Financial Times European Business Schools ranking for the first time. In this year’s ranking, the SML has come 73rd on the list of the best European business schools and is one of only five Swiss business schools to be accepted. Together with the University of Zurich, which made it to 69th place, this makes Zurich an internationally visible university location in the field of business and management studies.
An essential criterion for inclusion is feedback from graduates, who assess the quality of the study programs and their significance as preparation for a professional career. Ninety European universities were included in the ranking.
Second award this year
“We are delighted to be included in the ranking,” said the Dean of the SML, Professor Reto Steiner. “We see it as recognition of the high quality of our science-based and at the same time practice-oriented degree and continuing education programs and as a result of our research activities and close cooperation with partners from industry and science. This award is a further milestone for our university.”
The SML was already included in the Financial Times “Masters in Management” ranking in September. It is also the only Swiss university of applied sciences accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the leading international organization for the accreditation of business schools.
