News for digital natives
How do young people use and understand news? What are their expectations of future news services and what is their media competence in relation to news? These questions are examined in a research project entitled «How to Reach Swiss Digital Natives with News» at the ZHAW’s School of Applied Linguistics. The qualitative ethnographic study conducted by Aleksandra Gnach, Wibke Weber and Guido Keel also takes into account the special characteristics of the multilingual media landscape and social media communication in Switzerland.
The project will take place from June 2019 to September 2020 and is funded by the OFCOM with CHF 125,000.
