DermatoTherma
Description
Our objective is to provide an innovative thermotherapy treatment solution for cutaneous leishmaniasis to patients globally. We aim to offer an alternative to traditional medication-based treatments, which are often associated with significant side effects. To ensure accessibility and affordability in the 98 countries affected by this disease, predominantly in South and Central America, Africa, and the Middle East, it is important to introduce this device to the market at a cost-effective price point. The device we have developed is an advanced version of a predecessor that was unable to secure a strong market presence. Through a process of reverse engineering and redevelopment, we have succeeded in enhancing its affordability and portability while simultaneously reducing therapy-related side effects. Currently, we have developed a minimum viable product and are engaged in the process of refining and industrializing the device to ensure it is ready for widespread market distribution.
