Michael Kendzia in SRF interview on "Financial literacy in Switzerland"

Many Swiss people are unable to answer basic financial questions. Women and young people, in particular, perform moderately. In the SRF television interview, Michael Kendzia, ZHAW Program Director for the Bachelor in International Management, comments on this issue.

“The Financial Literacy Index shows that the so-called gender gap in the financial world remains significant. However, the conditions for changing this are good. Other studies suggest that around a third of the gender gap can be attributed to women's lower level of trust in their own financial abilities. This makes it all the more important for women to use their financial skills with more confidence.”

Good in international comparison, but still room for improvement – this is how the latest study by ZHAW and the asset manager True Wealth describes the financial knowledge of the Swiss population. However, there are differences within the population, as Michael Kendzia, Program Director for the Bachelor in International Management at the ZHAW, points out.
