Nobody crossed the railways

Infrastructure (railways, highways, airports) intersecting and transforming political and environmental border contexts, focusing on Zurich’s evolving border dynamics.

Key Observations:

- Railways near borders forced navigation around them instead of direct paths.

- A military airport occupied the entire width of the perimeter, creating an imposing

intersection with the border.

- Highways, railways, and urban networks collided in dense configurations, revealing

integration challenges in constrained spaces.
