As a budding language support specialist, you gain an in-depth insight into various institutions in the field of adult education. The teaching activities and visits available in courses for German as a foreign/second language range from work-shadowing, teaching assistantships and teaching projects (semesters 1 to 3) right through to the completion of an internship semester in Switzerland or abroad (semester 4). In your final year, you apply your project management knowledge in integration projects and deepen your focus on either language consulting/coaching or language education management depending on your profile.

Practical placements are possible in the following areas:

• At educational institutions
• At integration offices
• At companies
• With other stakeholders in the public and private sectors

These placements may include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

• Organising and implementing courses in German as a foreign/second language
• Provision of support to trainees as part of integration services
• Designing courses
• Developing educational materials
