New Head for the Center for Corporate Responsibility

The International Business Department is pleased to announce Prof. Dr. Christian Vögtlin being appointed incoming Professor of Business & Society, Head of CCR Research Center at the ZHAW School of Management and Law.

Prof. Dr. Christian Vögtlin joins our Department of International Business in September 2022, from the triple accredited Audencia Business School in Nantes, France, where he was Professor of Managerial Responsibility. He further serves as Affiliated Faculty (Privatdozent) at the University of Zurich. He received his Habilitation and his PhD in Business Administration from the University of Zurich and held a visiting position at ESADE Business School.

His research, education and advisory activities are in the field of sustainability and corporate social responsibility, with focus on responsible leadership, responsible innovation and business ethics. His research has appeared in outlets such as the Academy of Management Perspectives, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Management Studies and the Journal of Business Ethics and has been featured in business media such as Forbes, The Guardian and Les Echos. His research is frequently among the most cited in the respective outlets and has shaped the debate around responsible leadership and responsible innovation. Christian is a former section editor of the Journal of Business Ethics and currently serves as associate editor for Business & Society. He is a member of several academic associations.
