Virna Monero Flores, a graduate of the Master of Science in Facility Management programme and a research assistant at the Institute of Facility Management, has received the “gif Real Estate Research Prize” for her MSc thesis entitled “Workplace utilization practices: a case study on the utilization of an activity-based flexible workplace in a Swiss company”. The award comes with prize money of 1,000 euros.

The “gif Real Estate Research Prize” has been awarded annually since 1994. This year, the award was again sponsored by the asset management company DWS Group and ZIA, the German Property Federation. The award ceremony for the 25th “gif Real Estate Research Prize” took place at the 15th “Technology 4.0 - Real-Estate 4.0 - University 4.0” real-estate symposium, hosted by the IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School of the University of Regensburg, Germany.

Society of Property Researchers, Germany

The Society of Property Researchers (gif Gesellschaft für Immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung) is a registered association in Germany and was founded on 15 October, 1993. It now has approximately 1,300 members. The non-profit association works to unite theory and practice and is instrumental in answering key questions surrounding the economics of real estate, as well as in promoting market transparency.
