Honing entrepreneurial potential on two continents: The Academia-Industry Training India supports young researchers from Switzerland who are in the process of developing their results into marketable, innovative products and solutions and who, in addition to the Swiss market, are also interested in the Indian market.
The AIT India program is an innovation-based funding instrument of the ZHAW-based Leading House South Asia and Iran. The focus is placed on applied research and innovation. The program is open to founding members of science-based Swiss startups with a high level of market potential.
The participants validate their innovative concepts in direct contact with peers, experts and business representatives, hone their entrepreneurial potential, expand their international network and engage specifically with the promising yet challenging Indian market.
Prospect of two grants
For the AIT, ten sciencepreneurs from Swiss universities, universities of applied sciences and universities of teacher education as well as from research institutes and centres of technological excellence are selected again this year within a competitive process. The centrepiece of the program are the camp weeks that take place in Switzerland and India. In a final pitch session, a jury of experts awards two grants each worth CHF 10,000.
