Best Paper Award: The CCR Presents Research Results on Online CSR Communication

In September, the Center for Corporate Responsibility had the opportunity to present research results at the 4th International CSR Communication Conference (CSRCOM 2017) in Vienna.

Online CSR Communication in the DACH Region (German-speaking countries in Europe)

At the CSRCOM 2107 in Vienna, Katharina Hetze presented the results of a study on online CSR communication and the similarities and differences between listed companies in the DACH region" conducted jointly with researchers at Leuphana University Lüneburg and Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. The study builds on three previous studies on online CSR communication of the largest German companies (DAX30) and thus provides a longitudinal analysis for the DAX30 in the period from 2004 to 2015. At the same time, online CSR communication at the largest Austrian (ATX) and Swiss (SMI) companies was examined for the first time, which allowed for cross-country comparisons among the largest companies in the DACH region for 2015. The results were published in a journal in 2016.

Best Paper Award: "Contribution to Practice"

An online survey among consumers examined factors of online CSR communication that trigger satisfaction or enthusiasm. It led to recommendations for courses of action for entrepreneurs and how to adapt them to meet stakeholder expectations. This application was recognized; the conference organizers awarded this and one other paper. It received the CSRCOM 2017 Best Paper Award, "Contribution to Practice".
