CAI to deliver keynote on AI in Medicine at Day of Innovation and Research 2024 at KSA

Stemming from the ongoing collaboration with the Cantonal Hospital Aarau, Prof. Dr. Thilo Stadelmann presents insights into the use and benefits of AI in Medicine

The event is scheduled for 29th May 2024 at the Cantonal Hospital Aarau and promises to be an insightful day focused on leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance patient care and medical practices.

The head of CAI at ZHAW, Prof. Dr. Thilo Stadelmann, gives the keynote presentation, which is anticipated to offer valuable insights into the evolving landscape of healthcare and the inclusion of AI. The Center for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) hospital has been closely collaborating with Cantonal Hospital on the research project “ML-BCA”. This project aims to advance prototypes tailored for medical validation and prospective studies, culminating in the publication of joint scientific endeavors.

One notable outcome of this fruitful collaboration is the publication titled "Unsupervised Domain Adaptation for Vertebrae Detection and Identification in 3D CT Volumes Using a Domain Sanity Loss."  This publication represents a significant achievement, showcasing the tangible results of synergistic efforts between the Cantonal Hospital Aarau and the Center for Artificial Intelligence.
