The International Management Institute and Department of International Business more generally would like to welcome two new additions to the team.

Dr. Maximilian von Zedtwitz

New part-time Senior Fellow Dr. Maximilian von Zedtwitz is a Professor of International Business and Innovation at Copenhagen Business School. He is also Managing Director of the Research Center for Global R&D and Innovation (GLORAD). Previously, he was a professor of technology management at Tsinghua University, IMD in Lausanne, and a vice president/associate partner with PRTM Management Consultants in Shanghai. He also built (and later sold) a technology intelligence firm in Hong Kong and Shanghai. He consults and publishes on China R&D and global innovation in and from China. Max will be helping to develop ZHAW’s research capabilities and working on procuring more research funding for the IMI.

Dr. Evangelos Syrigos

Visiting Fellow Dr. Evangelos Syrigos, PhD, is an assistant professor of Strategy at the Luiss Guido Carli Free International University of Social Studies. Before joining the faculty at LUISS, he was Post- Doctoral researcher at University of Zurich and Aalto University. His research focuses on the process of organizational change, Artificial Intelligence and innovation, examining pharmaceutical, hotel and high technology industries. His research has appeared in FT-listed journals, including the Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Human Resource Management. At ZHAW, Evangelos will be working on many projects, including a paper underway with IMI Head Prof. Dr. Christopher Hartwell and Matteo Mösli on how CEO political ideology influences firm internationalization.
