SML new in strong network

The ZHAW School of Management and Law is pleased to accept the invitation to join the Global Business School Network (GBSN) and will actively participate in one of the most renowned worldwide business school networks.

The Global Business School Network (GBSN) was established in 2003 as a program of the World Bank's International Finance Corporation (IFC). Currently, about 130 university business schools are members. For nearly 20 years, the GBSN has been a pioneer in promoting management education, which is considered a critical component of successful international development strategies.

How the SML and the GBSN promote each other

The SML aims to make a weighty contribution towards the GBSN mission. In particular, its strengths in entrepreneurship and its strong commitment to sustainability within the PRME initiative will be brought to the partnership, adding value to the network as a whole.

The value of GBSN membership for the SML lies in the network's programs and events. They will benefit SML faculty members and students, enabling them to acquire essential intercultural competencies in today's global business environment.

A unique network of leading business schools

GBSN membership will strengthen existing SML partnerships – more than 20 network members are also SML partner schools. In addition, it will open up new horizons for collaboration with other network members. GBSN members include the Columbia Business School (US), MIT Sloan School of Management (US), and Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford (UK). The ZHAW School of Management and Law is only the fifth GBSN member in Switzerland; other members are ETH Zurich and IMD Lausanne.
