Swissnex network visits the ZHAW
A Swissnex delegation spent a day at the ZHAW as part of the Swissnex Annual Meeting 2024. The delegation showed great interest in what the ZHAW has to offer, particularly at the interface of digitalisation, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
On Tuesday, 23 April, Dirk Wilhelm, Dean ZHAW School of Engineering and Head of International Affairs ZHAW, received a 30-person delegation from the Swissnex network with representatives from the headquarters in Switzerland and from locations in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and North America. Wilhelm emphasised the long-standing partnership between the ZHAW and Swissnex, including the ZHAW-Swissnex Staff Mobility Program, as well as the importance of Swissnex in promoting relationships and exchanges with universities worldwide.
A varied programme in the morning gave the guests an insight into projects related to the three initiatives ZHAW sustainable, ZHAW digital and ZHAW entrepreneurship. They also learnt about programmes at the ZHAW that promote innovation and entrepreneurship, such as the Proof of Concept Lab and the Runway Start-up Incubator. This was followed in the afternoon by a visit to Thetriz and the movement laboratory at the ZHAW School of Health Sciences, which showed how the ZHAW combines teaching, practice and research.
