Development of joint regional and municipal guiding principles for the Executive Board
Description
Through the two regional development projects Regio Plus "Üses Muotital" 2005 to 2009 and "Netzwerk Muotatal" 2010 to 2012 within the framework of the New Regional Policy (NRP), increased regional cooperation across the three municipalities of Illgau, Morschach and Muotathal has been achieved over the last eight years. A future conference in Illgau in 2008 enabled the broad inclusion of the population in a community development process. The positive experiences made with the two regional development projects prompted the municipal councils of Illgau, Morschach and Muotathal to carry out a strategy process with a regional perspective for their municipalities. After the first project phase with the municipal executives, guiding principles are available for the region according to fields of action. The regional guidelines are adapted to the needs of each of the three municipalities. In the end, one regional and three communal guiding principles catalogues are available. In a second project phase, individual thematic fields (e.g. tourism, agriculture) can be explored in greater depth at the regional level with the involvement of stakeholder groups, and corresponding strategies with an action plan can be developed.
