Drivers of Global Value Chains (OECD Projekt)
Description
The aim of this project is to analyse the key drivers of the future evolution of regional and global value chains (GVC) such as the advancements of automation and ICT in general, labour cost increases and the rise of the middle class in developing countries, demographic trends, sustainability, shipping costs, GVC complexity and responsiveness, with a particular emphasis on the opportunities and challenges that arise for firms located in SADC countries from these GVC drivers.
