Individual travel recommendations in rail transport to optimize traffic control and utilization of rolling stock

Description

In this project a novel system is developed which predicts occupancy levels of train wagons. This information is used for a smartphone application which provides the commuters with individual travel recommendations. The real-time predictions of the train occupancy are based on forecasting models that take into account current and historical data as well as user feedback.
