Discourse analysis on Antibiotic Resistance (French linguistic usage)
Description
Due to the increase in antimicrobial resistance in Switzerland and in the light of the health policy priorities "Health 2020", the Confederation has launched a national strategy against antibiotic resistance (StAR strategy) in cooperation with the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO), Agriculture (FOAG) and the Environment (FOEN), Swiss cantons and other stakeholders. The main goal of StAR is to maintain the long-term efficacy of antibiotics for humans and animals. On behalf of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), the research departemetn OKOE Organizational Communication and the Public of the IAM Institute for Applied Media Studies conducts a situational corpus-based discourse analysis of the French linguistic usage. The discourse analysis includes a determination of the position of the communicative positions on the StAR in public discourse in the sense of a "mapping" of the policy field and its communicative networks.
