Additive manufacturing of structure-optimized lightweight aluminium components in helicopters. Topologically optimized components are particularly suitable for additive manufacturing, as they often have a very complex structure that can only be realized by layered buildup. In this study project a lever of a helicopter was optimized according to load and additive manufacturing.
