Test bench for investigating the powder coating at selective laser melting

In this R&D project, a complete test stand was developed, set up and tested for Renishaw plc to investigate the powder coating for selective laser melting. The test stand allows the quantity distribution of the powder applied to the building plate to be determined by means of an integrated camera system and a powder measuring unit. This allows the powder dosing unit and coater to be optimized.
