Dominique Ursprung was appointed Managing Director of the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce (SJCC) in December 2015. Ursprung led the SJCC office at the ZHAW from 2016 to 2021, closing all six years with a profit. At the time of handing over the mandate, the association's assets were 40% higher than at the time of the takeover at the end of 2015. The focus of the project was the digitalization of the office, as well as an intensification of public relations for Swiss-Japanese business concerns.
