Mandate Smart City Switzerland

Description

The «Smart City Switzerland» programme announced by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy promotes Swiss cities and municipalities on their way to becoming a smart city. The aim is to involve more Swiss cities in the Smart City Community by the mid-2020s and to support them in triggering a Smart City process. The contract for the multi-year «Smart City Switzerland» programme was awarded to the association «Smart City Hub Switzerland», of which the ZHAW is also a member with its Smart Cities & Regions platform.The ZHAW contributes with: Smart City projects in practice, education/further training on Smart Cities & Regions, methodologies, co-creation, Smart City Survey, basic principles (including guidelines for cities and municipalities), student work, international research, information and contact point, interface between international affairs and digitalisation, Smart Regions & Villages, support for relevant events, inputs for website and articles.
