Supernodes in the dHealth Network
Description
The dHealth Network is a decentralized blockchain based on NEM's open source technology and primarily designed for the healthcare market (specifically the pharmaceutical industry). As part of the network, the operation of a supernode will be enabled by ZHAW. Such a supernode is already used by the Blockchain Center of the University of Zurich, by the Competence Center Blockchain of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) as well as by F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, Switzerland (Roche). To position the ZHAW in this innovative field, the project partners - the Winterthur Institute for Health Economics and the Institute for Organizational Viability of the ZHAW - are therefore taking over the operation of an equivalent supernode in the dHealth Network. As part of the collaboration, the findings from the project will also be evaluated and distributed in suitable formats such as research papers. In addition, (student) research projects will be developed that build on the project.
