We have positioned the Atfinity software among existing technologies, such as:

• Business-Process Management (BPM)
• Database Management System (DBMS)
• Domain-Specific Language (DSL)
• Expert System (ES)
• Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC)
• Model-Based Software Engineering (MBSE)
• Synthesis-Based Engineering (SBE)

Databases and rule-based expert systems are critical areas of related work, especially the incremental checking of database assertions.

We have also explored and identified several opportunities for joint technical innovation, such as:

• Simple explanations of the overall approach for different users from the perspective of databases.
• Graphical overviews of the configurations that give insight in the resulting system behavior.
• Early validation of the configurations from the perspective of database integrity and transaction logs.

The Atfinity software is a Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC) solution that enables the faster and cheaper implementation and maintenance of digital processes. The company Atfinity currently focuses on banking as market segment, but it is expected that the Atfinity software has a much bigger impact potential also in other market segments. In this project we investigate the Atfinity software, to enable its full impact potential. This includes positioning the Atfinity software among existing technologies for automatic software generation, and identifying the key innovative features for sustainable growth.
