Robotics to support nursing home residents with dementia (Demenz+Robotics)

The project goal is the needs-oriented further development of robotics in the interests of users and the establishment of a network of users and technical developers to support residents with dementia.

Description

The development of robotics is often driven by technical trends and opportunities. There is a lack of concrete requirement profiles for which use-related and targeted robotics solutions can be developed. The aim of the project is to create a basis and a network for this purpose by means of patient and public involvement in cooperation with 4 retirement and nursing homes via interviews in order to make the potentials of robotics usable for people with dementia and their relatives.
