Connect & Collaborate Grant
The Connect & Collaborate Grant (CCG) supports Swiss-based researchers addressing the world’s pressing challenges by sharing knowledge, exchanging findings, and establishing long-lasting ties by organizing workshops, symposia, teaching activities, and more.
Grant sum: up to CHF 15,000.00
Project duration: 12 months
Eligibility: Swiss-based researchers including professors, senior scientists, postdocs, and PhD students from all Swiss federal and cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences, universities of teacher education, and public research institutes across all scientific disciplines and fields of research with a minimum employment of 40%
Eligible partner countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Iran
Calls: 1 per year
Eligibility
The projects supported with this grant must include a collaboration across different scientific fields and/or involve stakeholders contributing complementary perspectives.
Collaboration across different scientific disciplines and the inclusion of different perspectives is critical for translating scientific knowledge into action and for ensuring that real world-challenges are addressed with a holistic approach resulting in long-term and sustainable solutions.
You can apply for this grant if you are a Swiss-based researcher. This includes professors, senior scientists, postdocs, and PhD students of all Swiss federal and cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences, universities of teacher education and public research institutes across all scientific disciplines and fields of research.
Evaluation criteria
The propsals will be rated based on the following main criteria:
- degree of interdisciplinarity of proposed activity
- potential for long-term collaboration of proposed activity
- impact and relevance of the proposed activity
- degree of innovation in terms of introduction of new formats, tools, approaches
- feasibility and organization of proposed activity
Diversity
The Leading House will apply diversity criteria to ensure a broad representation of perspectives, institutions, and participants. While applicants are not required to meet this criteria directly, the Leading House will prioritize diversity to encourage a more inclusive and representative set of funded projects. This might lead to a situation where a lower rated project is chosen over a higher rated project.
