Diversity, accessibility, bot: These 14 digitisation projects will be funded by ZHAW digital

ZHAW digital has selected 14 new projects in the second awarding this year. They will each be funded with up to 20,000 Swiss francs.

Since 2020, ZHAW digital has been awarding funds to support special digitisation projects. The projects advance the digital transformation, both inside and beyond ZHAW. The following projects receive funding.

Digital and diverse: Applying at ZHAW

Chantal Menzi's project combines the topics of digitalisation and diversity by rethinking the application process at ZHAW. The project supports current ZHAW efforts to minimize biases in the recruitment process. The focus is on blind hiring.

Accessible ZHAW websites

In order to meet the requirements of the UNCRPD, ZHAW websites must be designed to be accessible. In the usability project, websites are to be tested for accessibility by users with disabilities. After completion, the results and recommendations for action will be presented to the President’s Office. This is a project of the ZHAW Usability Lab.

Email Bot for the Service Desk

The goal of this project by Rosa Käch is to reduce the most frequent tickets handled by the service desk to a minimum. To do so, the existing knowledge database of the self-service portal is to be accessed and an email bot implemented.
