ZHAW School of Engineering signs framework agreement with Siemens Schweiz AG

The ZHAW School of Engineering and Siemens Schweiz AG are consolidating their long-standing collaboration in research and development with a new framework agreement. The focus is on projects in the areas of artificial intelligence and embedded systems.

Prof. Dr Dirk Wilhelm, Dean of the ZHAW School of Engineering, and Dr Michael Kiy, Director of Innovation Management at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, seal the new framework agreement with a handshake.

The two contract partners have already been cooperating for many years. Joint research projects have resulted in intelligent solutions for modern building technology and the energy sector, among others. The new framework agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and covers the cooperation of all institutes and centres of the ZHAW School of Engineering with Siemens. The focus is on the areas of artificial intelligence and embedded systems.

"For universities of applied sciences, research collaboration with companies is essential. We are pleased to consolidate and further expand our partnership with Siemens Schweiz AG with this new framework agreement," explains Prof. Dr. Dirk Wilhelm, Dean of the ZHAW School of Engineering. Dr. Michael Kiy, Director of Innovation Management at Siemens Smart Infrastructure adds: "Together with the ZHAW School of Engineering, several innovative solutions have already been developed. The framework agreement will make it easier to implement joint projects in the future."
