CAI Project "Misinformation Detection in Videos" wins funding from ZHAW digital
The NLP team at the CAI of ZHAW receives funding from ZHAW digital to advance the project on detecting disinformation in videos.
The NLP group at the Center for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) of ZHAW has successfully secured funding from the Digital Futures Fund (DFF) for their innovative project on misinformation detection in videos. Along with six other project teams, we emerged as recipients of this prestigious funding (see more information here).
The project, titled "Misinformation Detection in Videos," aims to develop an AI-driven platform to identify and analyze misinformation in video content on social networks. The platform will automatically transcribe videos, annotate claims, and link these claims to the respective speakers, enhancing the tools available to fact- checkers.
This initiative is part of the ongoing effort to combat organized misinformation campaigns that threaten societal coherence by leveraging advanced AI techniques and addressing the video modality, which is often overlooked in current approaches.
