Academia-Industry Training India

The Academia-Industry Training (AIT) India is a program for Swiss-based researchers looking to validate and convert their inventions into viable, marketable innovations and discover the potential of their applied research in the Indian market.

For over ten years, the AIT India program has been supporting multiple Swiss researchers in gaining an understanding of the market potential of their innovations across different geographies, helping convert many of them into entrepreneurs. It has enabled them to transform their ideas into viable, successful products. 

Several of these innovations have been brought to market across multiple geographies, and AIT alumni have gone on to become successful entrepreneurs and mentors to other startups. The AIT is also a great barometer of technological shifts and has been successful in identifying impactful technologies in key sectors such as energy and sustainability.

In short: Academia-Industry Training India

Prize: CHF 10,000 awarded to the participant showing the greatest evolvement over the course of the program

Expenses covered: all expenses including food, accommodation, and transportation during the seminaries 

Program duration: kick-off days in September/October, Indian seminary in November, Swiss seminary in March

Program destinations: India and Switzerland

Call: 1 per year, starts in June
