Improving the Quality in Fish Farms

Description

The nutrition of less commonly reared fish species, such as the European perch (Perca fluviatilis), in aquaculture systems is not an easy task and suitable feed designed for this fish species are not available so far. Thus, feeds designed for other fish species are used which may not be healthy for the perches. A good way to improve the nutrition of the fish is to investigate their current health status and the quality of the currently used feeds. Based on this, options for improved feeding in the future can be evaluated.
