Ceramic targets for radionuclide therapy
Description
Radionuclide therapy is a form of targeted cancer therapy in which specifically effective isotopes with a coordinated half-life and radiation characteristics are brought directly to the site of the tumour, where they can selectively combat the tumour. The Laboratory for Ceramic Materials develops so-called targets, which consist of ceramics of special elements suitable for radiotherapy. The entire production process chain is being optimized to such an extent that in the future a medical product with maximum reliability can be manufactured.
