The start-up ConceptIris (brand: IRISgo) has developed an innovative closure system for reusable cups. With the reusable drinking cup system, IRISgo is combating the littering problem and solving several weak points of previous reusable cups: too small drinking opening, risk of tongue burns, leaking closure, difficult cleaning of complex systems, etc. The innovative locking system and the unique design of the IRISgo cup make it quick and easy to open and close the container, which is 100% watertight. This simplifies the refilling process and avoids the risk of burns from hot liquids. The IRISgo cup can be completely dismantled into its individual parts and is recyclable at the end of the product life cycle. IRISgo has applied for a patent for the locking system with sealing function.

IRISgo currently has a functional prototype and have approved mass production. The next and decisive step in the innovation project is the successful launch of our technology on the Swiss market. The first step is to carry out a market analysis and identify the target group-specific product requirements. In a second step, the innovation check will be used to examine which other use cases and sectors (e.g. in the medical sector) IRISgo can expand its technology to and which product requirements must be met for this.
