Process development for COVID-19 VLP vaccine production

Description

The project focuses on the development of a fermentation process for the production of a COVID-19 virus-like particle-based vaccine. Based on a shake flask process, the scale-up to stirred bioreactors is carried out up to pilot scale. The accompanying process analytics are used to assess cell growth and product formation, taking into account the influence of the culture media composition.
