Load rebate - rebate for electric vehicle charging
Description
‘Load rebate’ uses CLEMAP's existing technology, including load management, to enable charging point operators to offer rebate for electric vehicle charging at public and visitor parking spaces. This is done by pooling charging stations and connecting them to the balancing energy market by a flexibility provider, whereby operators are compensated for their flexibility. Drivers benefit from favourable conditions (e.g. lower tariff) if the electricity is purchased in a grid-friendly manner. Market acceptance and the business model are being analysed as part of the project.
The role of the ZHAW consists mainly of conducting user research, creating user profiles and investigating the user experience.
