Athletes Network offers a platform where elite sport meets business and connects active and former athletes to Swiss companies. With over 4000 athletes as members, almost 100 partner companies and 60 sport clubs, Athletes Network brings added value for both athletes and companies through job-matching.

In the SheCanLead project, ZHAW and Athletes Network aim to analyse specific skills acquired by active and former female elite athletes and how they can be transferred to the business world. Our goal is to identify leadership skills developed through team sport participation using insights collected from qualitative interviews. Furthermore, the desirability of these skills will be investigated through interviews with Swiss companies. Opportunities and pain points will be assessed to further sharpen the value proposition and explore how Athletes Network can become an important player in connecting Swiss companies with future female leaders.
