Living Lab "Food System Future Wädenswil"
How can Wädenswil create a sustainable food system? Our Living Lab connects research with practice to test practical solutions.

Description
How can Wädenswil create a more sustainable, healthier, and locally rooted food and agriculture system? The "Future of Food Wädenswil" Living Lab brings together students, researchers, and local stakeholders to find practical solutions to this pressing question.
The initiative is led by the Future of Food Wädenswil Interest Group (IG), a coalition of local food system actors who propose interventions, engage with policymaking, and advocate for a resilient and sustainable food economy.
Our research project provides scientific support to the IG by developing, testing, and evaluating various interventions and strategies. Using a Living Lab approach, we bridge the gap between research and practice to identify effective pathways for sustainable food systems. Together, we aim to answer key questions:
- Which measures are most effective in driving the local food transition?
- How can research best support the IG in its mission?
- Which successful approaches can be adapted for other regions?
