Playful support for digital change in care or nursing homes

ImaginEd is a simulation game for supporting digital change in schools. We want to explore the extent to which the game is suitable for use in retirement/nursing homes (APHs) and what needs to be adapted for specific contexts, so that APHs can also be supported.

Description

Previous projects show: The digital transformation is a major challenge for care and nursing homes (CNH). Currently, CNH are generally not very digitally savvy. There are many reservations about digital and technological tools. At the same time, the level of digital expertise among staff varies. Many CNH have recognised the need for digital change, but the design, approach and prioritisation of the necessary actions are often unclear.

So the question is: how can we support CNH in tackling digital change, addressing and overcoming fears and selecting the right implementation steps? Our idea: We would like to utilise the experience of ImaginEd, a simulation game for supporting digital change in schools, and explore the extent to which this idea can be transferred to the CNH context as a preliminary project. This will serve as a basis for the search for effective project funding on a larger scale.
