Platform Meaning@Work

We are developing a digital platform called “Meaning@Work”, which supports employees in shaping their work and careers in a meaningful way.

Description

Aims of the research project

On this platform, participants write short stories about themselves. themselves. The process is self-explanatory and step-by-step. From the various stories, a summary is created at the end on characteristics, motives and life issues, as well as a recommendation to how they can use this insight to create more meaning in their professional and and everyday working life. We are planning to use generative artificial artificial intelligence (AI) to provide participants with creative inspiration inspiration when writing and interpreting the stories. Finally, we will evaluate both the use and acceptance of the the process and its effect on the experience of meaning.

Scientific and social context

Meaning is not only experienced, meaning is also created by each person themselves created or “constructed” in a social context. This social We support and investigate this social construction of meaning in this project. For the first time, we are combining approaches from occupational psychology ("job design”, such as ‘job crafting’) with approaches from psychological psychological research on career development (“life design”, such as design”, such as the ‘Career Construction Interview’).
