Data Driven Energy Efficiency
Project in collaboration with SMC
Description
The aim of the project is to motivate plant operators to take energy efficiency measures by means of concrete and economically interesting results. Through the use of digitalization, previously untapped energy efficiency potential can be identified, such as the availability of real-time monitoring data, predictive maintenance of production and infrastructure facilities, or the minimization of rejects. Compressed air is an expensive energy and economically interesting energy efficiency measures can be implemented, but unfortunately, the digital measurement infrastructure, the data basis, or data-driven models to provide sound insights are often missing. This project aims to replicate the findings from studies in an actual plant with data acquisition and data processing methods.
