DECIDE – Digital Enabling of Circularity, Innovation, Development and Environment
Description
The goal of this project is to lay the technological foundations for empowering various stakeholders to make fact-based decisions to achieve sustainable consumption and production. In particular, we will evaluate how various data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence methods can be used to extract and analyze data about the environment, supply chains and economic policy monitoring, in an integrated manner. The challenges include combining data sets from these three different areas with incomplete and often heterogenous information and thus be able to answer specific green economy policy questions such as “What government intervention in the market are relevant to the environmental performance of the 'X' supply chain?” or “Which value chains can be connected with deforestation in the Amazon and who can make a difference?”
