JAMES Study

youth, activities, media – survey Switzerland

Description

JAMES stands for Youth, Activities, Media - Swiss Survey (in German). The JAMES Study has been providing representative figures about the media use of young people in Switzerland since 2010 and is conducted by ZHAW every two years. Each time, the study surveys over 1,000 adolescents aged 12 to 19 in the three large language regions of Switzerland. The study illustrates positive and negative aspects of media use and provides scientifically reliable data for authorities, experts and interested parties who deal with youth and media. In the years between the publications of the JAMES Study the data is analysed in depth, and specific topics are written up in the form of JAMESfocus reports.
