Usability Study ZHAW - mobile speech documentation in clinical contexts (USZ-MSIKU)
In collaboration with the digital health start-up Adamcares, the ZHAW Usability Lab is investigating the user-friendliness and acceptance of a voice-based documentation for nurses, powered by an AI. The goal is to see if and how the integration on a smartphone or tablet immediately reduces the documentation workload for nursing staff.
Description
The usability lab team is conducting a usability study in collaboration with Adamcares AG, a start-up from the digital health sector. The aim is to investigate the user-friendliness and acceptance of a virtual care assistant, an AI-based software. The documentation is done via voice input, e.g. with a smartphone or tablet. The aim is to find out to what extent the software supports and relieves nursing staff with care documentation.
The field study will be conducted together with a Spitex from mid-September to around mid-November 2024. Three test subjects will be accompanied by the usability team during their assignments at three measuring points. Data will be collected on usage habits, usage and documentation times and user acceptance. As the nursing staff are involved, their suggestions for optimization can also be incorporated into the further development of the software.
