An exploratory approach for the design of building-level multi-energy systems (B-MES), leveraging integration of renewables and grid-friendly operation (B-MES)
The B-MES project systematically investigates building-level multi energy systems to promote the integration of renewable energy sources while accounting time for a grid-friendly building opera-tion.
Description
The B-MES project systematically investigates building-level multi energy systems to promote the integration of renewable energy sources while accounting time for a grid-friendly building opera-tion. With this, the project directly answers to the need in practice for a more integrated design of building energy systems and respective guidelines for component sizing and operation. To this end, the project follows an exploratory simulation approach starting from simple building system configurations, gradually adding complexity to better understand the influence and sensitivty of key design parameters.
The outcomes of the project will be summarized in the form of a fact sheet to directly support the planners in the design of future B-MES.
