Handelszeitung: Inclusion and Diversity as Key Elements
Starting in 2025, ZHAW will offer a course to train leaders in diversity and inclusion, equipping them to make companies future-ready. The "Sustainability" special edition of Handelszeitung introduces the CAS program Managing Diversity, Inclusion and Social Sustainability.
The need for a diverse and inclusive corporate culture is not just an ethical imperative but also an economic one: according to a 2020 analysis by McKinsey & Company, companies with high diversity in their leadership are 25% more profitable than their less diverse competitors. The demand for targeted measures to promote diversity and inclusion is immense, especially as demographic changes exacerbate the shortage of skilled workers.
The ZHAW School of Management and Law is addressing this with a specialized continuing education program. Starting in February 2025, participants can complete the CAS Managing Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Sustainability (DIS) over twelve one-day sessions while working. The program is designed to equip professionals and leaders with the skills needed to shape companies responsibly and sustainably, enabling them to remain competitive with a more inclusive organizational culture. CAS graduates will gain both strategic and operational perspectives on diversity management, along with effective tools and best practices, and insights into the needs and potential of various diversity groups.
