Bachelor’s Degree Program in Business Administration
The degree program in Business Administration trains you to a become a problem-solver in a company or organization. A degree in Business Administration qualifies you for a demanding specialist position and prepares you for taking on a management position in due course. You have a wide range of career prospects.
In addition to the basic business modules, you can choose from one of the following eight specializations for one-third of the program, depending on your interests: Banking and Finance, Behavioral Design, Financial Management, General Management, Human Centered Organization, Insurance Management, Marketing, and Politics and Management. In this way, you can focus on a preferred subject area while completing the general business modules will enable you to keep all options open.
Students and lecturers interact to a high degree during the attendance phase. In addition, an attractive digital learning environment is available to help you prepare for and follow up on lessons. Preparation and follow-up work is an essential part of the program and takes place outside the scheduled timetable, independent of time and location.

What You Will Learn
In the context of internationalization and digitalization, the program teaches skills for the analysis, design and management of products, processes and projects in companies and organizations.
You will acquire specialist knowledge in the areas of marketing, finance, strategy, human capital management, project management, organizational design, leadership, and production/operations.
You can personalize your program by choosing one of the following specializations:
- Banking and Finance
- Behavioral Design
- Financial Management
- General Management
- Human Centered Organization
- Insurance Management
- Marketing
- Politics and Management
You can also further individualize your studies: Deepen your specialist knowledge or broaden your knowledge by choosing from a wide range of elective modules in your final program year. Topics include current affairs, psychology, mindfulness/mindful leadership, business in the climate crisis, business value of blockchain, data analysis and presentation in Excel and Python, real estate valuation, cultural management, retail management, cases in disruptive innovation, debate and negotiation, environmental economics and politics, international trade and policy, growth market nealth, and many more.
In addition, the program focuses on methodological and personal skills. You will strengthen your problem-solving skills and your ability to develop solutions that go beyond conventional approaches. You will learn to familiarize yourself quickly with new topics and to apply applied research methods effectively.
You will work in a goal- and result-oriented manner and make responsible decisions, act according to these decisions, and be able to justify your actions.
Finally, you will increase your social skills, such as your ability to communicate well in German and English. You will work in groups and solve comprehensive case studies, which will require teamwork and interdisciplinary action.
Problem-solving process taught in the BSc program in Business Administration
To ensure that you will be capable of solving complex problems in your everyday work after graduation, you will train your problem-solving skills throughout the course of this Bachelor's program.
With the help of the problem-solving process we have developed, you will learn to systematically analyze and solve problems in six steps.
Admission
What You Need to Qualify
- Typically, you will have a vocational baccalaureate in economics or services. There are various other ways in which you can be admitted to our program. Find out more here about admission requirements.
- Certificate from a college of higher education and training (HF): Exempt from examination, at least one year of regulated work experience in the commercial sector. With certain HF certificates (see admission requirements), direct entry to the main study program is possible (the assessment with 60 ECTS is waived across the board).
