Webinar: Rethinking insurance in the smart home - prevention and services
One million households in Switzerland already use intelligent sensors for building security. The number of users and devices is constantly increasing. In our webinar, we share the latest research findings, show market examples and discuss how insurers are taking advantage of this development.
Aim and Content
The proliferation of smart home devices makes it possible to offer customers new solutions and services in their homes. Prevention and claims management services are of particular interest to insurers.
What began as a vague opportunity is now becoming a reality, particularly in the Anglo-Saxon and Asian markets. It is estimated that up to a quarter of households are already willing to buy home insurance from a non-insurance company - and to share data. What products are already available on the global market? What is the business model for insurers? We address these questions and also show how Swiss households perceive insurance and prevention benefits in the context of smart homes. Based on an exclusive survey of 2,500 Swiss households, we identify critical success factors.
The findings are part of an ongoing research project in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Joël Wagner at HEC Lausanne.
The webinar is free of charge and will be held in English and German. It addresses insurance executives and professionals who work at the customer interface, in product or business development functions and are interested in the potential of connected homes.
