International Symposium in Morocco
Khaldoun Dia-Eddine participated in an international symposium in Rabat on the values of Islamic sciences in achieving civilizational goals.
The Institute Mohamad VI for the Koranic studies in Rabat Morocco invited Mr. Khaldoun Dia-Eddine, in his quality of lecturer for cross-cultural management issues related to Africa and Middle East, to an international symposium about the humanistic dimensions of the Islamic Sciences. Mr. Dia-Eddine presented and discussed his paper entitled: The civilizational goals achieved through the values inherent to the Islamic Sciences during the Arabo-Islamic golden age.
The paper (in Arabic) presented the most salient values adopted by the Islamic sciences. Further, the paper presented the link between the values and some important achievements. These findings were based on generic definition of the civilizational goals and the way to measure civilizational achievements. It concluded by indicating the difference made by these.
The paper was very well received and appreciated in these two days symposium. The paper can be considered a continuation of earlier work of Mr. Dia-Eddine, also presented within a similar frame in Morocco in 2010 and published in a book (in Arabic) later.
It is expected that the proceed of this conference are to be published later this year.
